Music Team

​

St Barnabas music team is an enthusiastic group of parishioners who enjoy raising their voices and instruments, in both contemporary and traditional praise music, to the glory of  God!  We gather for a weekly practice on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. and again on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. before services to provide musical leadership for 10 a.m. Sunday services. All who enjoy praise music are warmly welcomed to join up on a Wednesday evening for fellowship and worship through music! Participation as a member of the music team on Sunday mornings, is also open to all and joyfully received.  

 

The music is chosen by members of the music team to reflect and reinforce the lectionary readings each Sunday.  Final approval for the musical choices is made by our Rector.  Music selection meetings are really a bible study as well.  The intent is to make the music a meaningful addition to services. 

 

The music team has been enjoying its ministry and fellowship together for many years.  We are blessed to have young people involved in this ministry over the years, offering their musical talents in voice and instrument. We are also blessed to have such a musical congregation as well and one which loves to sing!  We are always uplifted mid-week on a Wednesday evening after singing together.  The music touches us profoundly and we are very happy to share this with our congregation on Sundays.
